Denny received a degree in Architecture from Lawrence Institute of Technology in Southfield, Michigan.  As a student, Denny worked with general contractors, learning to build from the ground up, understanding what it means to be on-time, cost-effective, and skilled in the trades.

After relocating to Marin in 1972, he began what is now Kasten Builders.  Known among the industry’s elite, Denny has built homes throughout Sausalito, Tiburon, Stinson Beach and the rest of the San Francisco bay area.  With over 40 years in the construction industry his knowledge, experience, and passion for working with people is credit to his long term success.

Denny is also co-founder of Creative Energy, one of the largest hot tub dealerships in the country. Creative Energy has installed over 15,000 hot tubs and spas throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  Denny has designed over a thousand custom outdoor spa environmental designs.  Along with his brother, John Kasten, they have won numerous awards and recognitions in national publications including Spa & Sauna Magazine and Sunset Magazine.

Pete is a Marin County native and has been with Kasten Builders for sixteen years.  Raised around the construction industry, Pete successfully constructed numerous projects throughout Marin county to the high standards of our clients.  Pete is a licensed general contractor, a certified green building professional, an active project manager, and works on business development for the company. 

With over 35 years of hands-on experience in construction Tim’s attention to detail, problem solving, and thorough understanding of building systems is what sets him apart.  Tim has been with Kasten Builders for nearly 25 years and there is no one more qualified to run complex projects.
